The "2000PJ GSA" was never my origination. It was apparently a figment of the imagination of the Deutsche report
STO have said they have enough gas for 2 trains supported by the expert NSAI
They also have a 5 train site but have not gone further than discussing 2 trains
Small steps
They have regarded the Narrabri CSG JV as an early stage project.
This together with their own Gunnedah gas is a significant amount that on maturation would probably support Trains 3,4 if they get that far.
So they see a future for Gunnedah - they have options for LNG or powergen or utility gas - a Gas company
We will have to wait and see as always - will your speculation come about ?
At the STO announcement that it would FID Trains 1,2 was the time to do a deal with ESG and that did not happen. They are confident about their gas supply.
They may have other plans for ESG - Later-on for future trains
It will be a very big turnaround if they announce a gas deal for ESG after having said they have enough gas for T1,2 unless they show strategic long vision by couching it in terms of underpinning field development for the supply of Trains 3,4,5. (Like they did for the Cooper JV)
