The average Australian works for a small business. It's hard enough for some of these businesses to compete with the offshore online suppliers on price as it is let alone with the offshore suppliers enjoying a 10% advantage.
Realistically if 10% GST is exempt from overseas suppliers for goods under $1000 then it should also be exempt for Australian businesses. Now that would really win the hearts of both consumers and business.
