Their T&Cs will be all over this and there will be no chance of Infineon taking on reputational or other risks, because the terms will be all in favour of a multi billion company that will own the creation of the contract and have the $$ for in house legal etc. There will be zero doubt and no chance of any court case.
Id take the opposite side of your argument re. getting into bed with an underfunded startup - they need to find channels for innovation, as the bigger you get the less innovate you become, so its incumbent upon them to engage the industry and other methods to innovate. For them, its in part getting paid to see new tech that could change the industry, so there is benefit there for Infenion (this we agree on). So in short it does not necessarily prove the tech, but it is a qualification of sorts. Hard to know what relationships exist between Ting / Infenion / NVidia etc.
