I'll be honest here.
When I buy a stock I spend a good week or so researching the fundamentals, and then spend a good hour or so critiquing the chart to find an ideal entry point.
On the back of the Mashala deal I was ready to dive into CCC but I noted that there was also a capital raising taking place as well.
I was torn between waiting for the dust to settle (post cap-raising) or to jump in when the stock was at 8cents in October. My heart said buy at 8cents, but my mind said wait in the high 6s for the stock to step back a bit. In the end I grabbed a small parcel at 8c with the intention to top up on options if the stock dropped back. In hindsight I should have gone with my mind, but my decision to buy my small parcel of heads at 8cents was led on by some of the discussion on HotCopper. It was a rare occasion, but I let the thoughts of others get to me, and I've learnt a lesson from that day to base my decisions 100% solely on what I research, and not what others say.
Call me a 'sucker', but yes, I would say that the discussion on HotCopper can be a bit influential.
