And thats meant to prove what?
Yes people can short companies. If people think a company is over valued, say a biotech worth $300 million, with 2 quarters of cash left, they can short it. If topline data comes out weak, like it just did with PER, they can make good money.
Its just the other side of the coin flip your choosing.
