OT: Left with a bunch of others at the same time from a few different but similar firms who were all at the same level and founded our own firm - so yes we formed a new partnership and thus all made partner, creating a new national (later international) firm overnight. Partners in those mega firms were really just employees who got to carry liability and only got paid when the firms did well and paid in when they did not so well.
