Seriously though, things are getting real. US graphite miners are asking Washington to impose 920% tariff on Chinese graphite rivals. They believe the existing tariff of 25% is “far too low” and can be absorbed easily by Chinese rivals. However, not all US critical minerals companies support tariffs. Some would prefer manufacturers be required to buy Western metals instead of blanket tariffs. Source
Not sure where they get the 920% figure from but it might have something to do with assisting the tier 4-5 graphite projects to get their toe in the market. A figure that's not beyond Trump's capabilities.
Either way, this is good news for RNU which is a tier 1 resource located in Tier 1 jurisdiction with a US trade deal.
