I totally disagree, and thats why I love Hotcopper :)
If there was manipulation going on with the SP to look after mates, the SP would not have run up, it would have been run down so the mates get more shares at a lower SP and therefore more profits on success.
While i appreciate the idea of a CR at a higher SP and the fact that it would have a better value result on any dilution, you simply can't ask investors to pay what would be new 12 month highs when trying to get a good amount of capital together.
You've got to let investors in where there is value, the movement of the SP in the past few days forced the trading halt in my opinion.
We long term holders can't complain about mates rates when we've had 12 months to top up at seriously low levels.
