great explanation everybody!

i just want to make sure i've understood everything though

i buy/sell shares through commsec...

in my portfolio i have two columns,
registered units and available units

when i purchase shares i immediately have them in the available units column but they're not in the registered units column (this only occurs @ T+3)

i've often wondered if i can sell these shares before T+3 (i.e. before they show up in the registered units column)

it seems from this thread that the answer to that is yes....i can sell them before they're "registered"

can someone confirm this?
