Ditto. However, my accountant used to tell me, 'you don't owe me anything' because I deducted it from your 100% fully franked dividends, that goes for tax bills. Granted I still pay a significant amount for my land taxes, but it is reassuring to know I receive some relief by holding on to blue-chip fully franked shares like banks.
Banks should always be in a stable portfolio, for tax benefits. Even the ATO applauds this as they can get their money quickly and all is done and dusted for another year!!!
