    Hey folks,

Earlier, i asked the question can the blueGen still be able to run if the grip is down? Most of you said NO it wont. So i though i asked this question straight to CFU staff, here what i asked:

    "Hi Andrew (Nielson),

How are you? I am Arkacia (a CFU investor), I have a technical question that I would like to ask you if you permit me.

My question is will the BlueGen unit still be able to operate lets say after a week of operation then due to a natural disaster leading to the power grid been shutdown, will the BlueGen still be able to provide electricity?

Due to the recent natural disaster that have happened in NSW and Queensland, If the BlueGen units can still operate under these extreme conditions, this is certainly will be an incredible sell out tool that can be used in the marketing Dept.

Some folks said that the unit will simply shut down when the power grid is off. I personally would like to hear that from a personal of CFU.

I Thank you in advance for your response and have a Happy and safe New Year!

    Sincerely

    Arkacia

    The reply:

    Hi Arkacia

    Thanks for your note.

BlueGen is grid-parallel, which means it is connected to the power grid. BlueGen's inverter constantly "looks" for the power grid to export power to; if the grid goes down then the inverter stops exporting power. This is required by Australian regulations, to ensure the grid is safe - ie no-one is exporting power to the grid (from any generator, including solar PV) when people are working to repair the grid. So currently, in a basic set up, if the grid goes down then BlueGen must stop exporting power.

However BlueGen can be configured so that the power from BlueGen is used on-site, eg through a battery system. For instance the BlueGen installed with Energy Australia in Sydney is integrated with a Redflow energy storage system. So technically it can be done, with some more work (and cost) to integrate with energy storage. This would be part of a more sophisticated product offering for "back up" power or "grid independent" power, rather than the default product offering of grid-parallel connection.

Trust this helps, and thanks for the question."

Here you go, I will be keenly awaiting for the news on the German govern approval.

And let me add that, with all of these crazies weather phenomenon happening, no 1 here will now be doubting that global warming is not real, especially with the most recent natural disaster in our country.

    Be safe,

    Arkacia
