@Bunn-Wackett, how amiss of me, not to thank you - - - I often feel, I have offended people, never intend to do that - - - probably cultural blindness of sorts, but I am always trying to be honest, and I appreciate HotCopper, it is almost like an interesting and exotic market place with such a huge variety of subjects and opinions on offer, so I 'look in' daily, even though, it does tend to eat up a lot of precious time.

He is not a well man now, has bad emphysema, but I still call him almost daily and listen to a story he always has ready for me, even when difficult.

....so we have gone through the Suez Cannel and landed in Fremantle ..the year is 1966 ..Mam and Dad and us Ten Kids ....us little ones are sent to Fairbridge Farmschool ...until Dad and Mum get a house .....as the Fairbridge Bus pulls into Fairbridge lots of kids are running around ...one of my older brother say's ..Wow !! we thought we were poor ..they don't even have any shoes !!...............Well ..it wasn't long before we were tear arssin around as well with no shoes .............to be continued ?
