Without wanting to rabbit on, but there is nothing about the State Street holding that is anything but positive,
Trust and Bank is the Trust company, who are custodians globally for multiple small and large corporations, pension funds, some Government stuff.
Custodians!. They have ZERO ability to do anything without the explicit direction from the owner or manager of the shares.
Transactional only, no discretion.
Thats half of the holding already that is held in what has already been mentioned, some good quality names.

The other half is the funds management arm, who may or may not lend out their stock, just like any other fund.
I am not saying they don't short, but most "Fund Managers" in my experience, which is fairly substantial, do not short.
Most Funds Managers are Long only and leave the shorting to specialised funds, like LSF or the Investment Banks, and the company that runs the ADR program, different story there.

Seeing any kind of Funds buying is positive.
Most Aussie mandates manage to the ASX200 and will not buy prior to inclusion, which is why inclusion is so important.
By then half of the listed capital will be in the US!!

Seeing some good quality names coming on board, nothing but positive IMO.
