Hi Mooroo, I have heard this argument before , do a cost benefit analysis on it and you will find , at this point , it doesnt hold water. I am not a fan of subsidies for ev's or ice vehicles . They have tended to be regressive , and really often just bring forward demand that is likely to have happened anyway. Trump/Biden tariffs will also be worth a lot more for ev uptake than modest carrots and sticks. Finally getting types of vehicles that Australians want will make a big difference too. Why buy a Tesla if I want a Triton? And before some zealot suggests I don't need a Triton , I do , and even if I didn't, I want. A Shark may well be my next car though. cheers
