This well encountered a gas-condensate hydrocarbon column in the AVO-3 reservoiranda light oil column in the AVO-4 reservoir.
Both reservoirsexhibited high-quality characteristics with excellent porosity and permeability, high pressures and low fluid viscosity.
Following this, the drilling campaign continues with the rig moving to the location of the Mopane-3X exploration well, targeting two stacked prospects.
Additionally, a high-density 3D seismic survey is underway to further refine development plans for the Mopane complex.
According to Namcor, which holds a 10% interest, these efforts solidify Namibia's growing reputation as a global frontier for oil and gas exploration.
