MichaelIrish - there was an extreme drought in Queensland! I have property there and the foundations had to be underpinned due to susbisdence due to the dry soil because of the drought! Brisbane could well have run out of water! So he predicted a drought and there was a drought. Where was he wrong? He never said it would never rain again.

I also agree with your last post as the heavy rains being a possible sign of climate change. La Nina + more moisture in the atmosphere due to warmer land and oceans = more rain. But this event needs to be lookaed at objectively by the relevant scientists, we shouldn't make any blanket assumptions just yet.

I don't rate Bolt, Akerman and Devine as competent journalists, Greystone. They have lost their objectivity in their pseudo-religious campaign to dismiss the truth and foist their brand of ant-scientific hysteria onto the rest of us. Akerman has blatantly lied in the past and should come clean or resign, but as if that is ever going to happen!
