It was no real drama, MichaelIrish - it cost a bomb, but most of it was paid for by the Queensland Building insurance fund because it was less than 6 months old. The main cost to me was the lack of rent for the period, and you guessed it, the fine print in the insurance never covered that. But I am not complaining and overall it has been a good investment.
I do feel very much for those people in Brisbane, and much of Qld, being flooded and dispossessed right now. Let's not forget that a massive disaster is unfolding before our eyes. I also hope all HotCopperites are OK.
