Some are suggesting worrying about CGT is a fools errand. Take your example for instance, if you bought in July 2021 at around 30c but steadfastly held to the logic of holding to avoid CGT then you miss the opportunity of selling at the highs and instead come July 2022 your now at 16c. You've now definitely avoided CGT. Fast forward to today and your sitting on a 600k paper loss so objective complete, no CGT to pay, well done.
