I would say that the biotech sector as a whole has become a far more interesting sector to be invested in now, with the potential returns huge notwithstanding the risks associated with trial outcomes.
Whilst i remain very heavily invested in SMN, i also hold CU6 and EBR, each of which have been somewhat de-risked - CU6 appears to have best in class diagnostic imaging and is moving closer to results for both diagnostic and therapy trials, and EBR has already successfully completed its SOLVE-CRT trial and now in the final stages of getting FDA PMA approval.
Exploration and mining stocks on the other hand (cf biotechs) are on the nose at the moment and most don't have the traditional following as in the past.
