You are incorrect in that statement.

With Tabby the merchants only choose to accept payment via Tabby...that is all.

The Tabby user/customer is the one that decides if they use splitit (not the merchant).

Tabby originally offered its users/customers in the TABBY app the following....

    1) Bank account linked - TABBY withdrawals from their bank account periodically or payments made from it.

    2) Debit card linked - TABBY charges their debit card periodically or payments made via it.

    3) Credit card linked - TABBY charges their credit card periodically or payments made via it. (non splitit)

    4) Credit Card via Splitit - TABBY via SPLITIT whitelable charges 1/4 of the amount to the credit card and holds 3/4 of amount and implements the Splitits monthly hold, charge, release payment style plan going forward. This allowed much, much larger purchases for Tabby users with credit cards as it was not Tabbys credit but the users pre-approved credit. Standard Splitit stuff.

That is why the Tabby terms and Conditions specifically used to mention Splitit as a 3rd party provider and mentioned if users enabled the Credit product (linked credit card) a Splitit account would be automatically set up with the users email (standard splitit stuff). This no longer in Tabbys T&Cs.
The merchant only sees them getting paid by Tabby upfront in all cases.

Tabby now has a Tabby Plus card also. Tabby Plus Card can be used anywhere a Visa card is used...So its a credit card with a pre-approved limit that Tabby seems to adjust the users limit. That therefore replaces the need for Tabby to allow Splitit. As they just charge their users on their own issued credit card product monthly and reject (as the bad reviews are saying) users to use the full limit of the card when they want.
