No. It was mostly tongue in cheek. If our dog was alive they would not be at home in the garden. Many people would dispatch them but it seems rather heartless since they managed to survive the flood. If they hopped 150m to the creek and crossed it back to the bush land where they lived before everything would be sweet. I suspect the wild dogs may be building up and they feel safer at our place. A few cracks of the whip will encourage them to leave for 1/2 day but the joey looks so terrified we only do it when they attack our favourite roses.
