Would truly like some imput here. Will people being inducted into the new Oz trials in addition to all those trials being conducted elsewhere be given the "REAL DEAL" or will half of them be given a placebo. I ask because a close friend has been having chemo for many months but the cancer has spread from bowel to liver and elsewhere. Recently, I noticed and met a number of her rellies arriving from all over the world. This tells me I think that time is running out. I want to let her know about trials, if her condition fits, but couldn't do it if 50% of applicants were going to have a placebo. Mind you, I do suppose you would be warned about that possibility and would have to make your own decision. But do any of you know the score here? Thanks.
