I have no experience with growing Avo's.

But i just thought i'd ask a fellow green thumb about the checklist:

Enough Potassium?

Have you been over-watering it (falling can happen to my mangos and stone-fruit when overwatered)?
With my stone-fruit, if i pick about half or more of the fruit, it seems to help.

Hope you work it out...will be a year before i get feedback i'm sure!!

You could do a soil check for the necessary minerals too.
