Once If/When Belfast Grant funds are approved, then FID will quickly follow.
IXR has mentioned on numerous occasions, that Brazil commercialization is quickly gaining support and traction, and numerous mentions of serious interest from USA. IXR actually state that they are in negotiations with USA parties. USA is an obvious market.
Given the size of the USA market, and their desire for an independent supply of REE outside of Chinese - then just how many Belfast sized plants would USA require?? Mr Trump surely would be supporting these IXR projects?
We know Brazil is very serious about production of REE. The Brazilian govts at all levels are hell-bent on reaching permanent magnet production end of 2026 (?) 100tonnes (?) To get there that quickly, they need IXR output
There have been many mentions of interest from Europe.
Point is, I think a successful Grant application is the "floodgate" moment.
A meaningful quantum of Grant funding provides Not only much needed cornerstone funding, but it provides a way more valuable building block in CREDIBILITY - credibility in IXR's recycling process, credibility in IXR management, credibility in IXR's business model, and credibility in the path towards the "security of supply" issue that all these Western countries crave for.
