Yes Rick, they do have a good defined resource. For whatever reason the decision to mine has not gone ahead. I still believe there is a hurdle in Vietnam that is stopping them from starting up the mine. It's been my belief for a long time. And might well be the open pit as you said. Making it worthwhile for the Vietnamese people to accept the mining of the resource.
Whatever it is, we the SHolders are not being told.

From a local news, They need the nickel price to be >20,000USD/ton before they can generate profit. The local tax rate for upstream nickel ore is currently at 32% on the revenue. Its pointless to restart the mining activities at a loss and start depleting the current resources.
