You do have a point there. Charities needs cash for their charitable endeavours, just shares sitting on their balance sheet does them no good. It could be the charity cashing out. Shareholders need more details about this large unusual conspicuous donation made to charity in shares. Maybe we would need to lodge a FOI submission, I will look into it..
