No, Ivermectin was banned because there was no evidence it worked, people were using it because they were reading misinformation it worked and FDA were getting reports of many people being hospitalised from using it.
BTW there is a Ivermectin for human use but people were getting hold of the animal version and from dodgy sources
FDA did allow doctors to prescribe it if they though it would help.
Yet again I will point out that big phama can not put out vaccines that are untested and approved by FDA.
