If SGR is allowed to collapse, I am sure the Aussies will try to blame the contagion of the super system on the Californian fires over on the West Coast but in truth BHP will be suffering the contagion of the ASX, SGR collapse and the Australian superannuation system/ super balances and industry labor super funds collapsing.
BHP might have to be bailed out by Vale or Anglo American or move their listing back to the LSE or go all out on the NYSE.
If the ASX collapses, BHP will not be immune from the correlation.
SGR is too big to fail. The Australian Government and ruling party regime must save it otherwise the ASX, BHP and superannuation system might collapse from their present form.
