To be fair to dominoes as well, the 21 tonnes they threw out was on their own volition, with a large amount at customs. Be like me ordering a quantity of anything online, when it arrives i discover it wasnt packed adequately or otherwise no good so it has to be thrown. Id argue this is pretty proactive and potentially not a direct fault of dominoes.
Hopefully they were able to claw some of that expense back from suppliers or changed suppliers where appropriate. And its not unusual venturing into new markets to have this as you likely dont have the relationships or the same suppliers as your home base and there will be some 'trial and error' as you find out which local suppliers live up to the standard expected.
