If they had started the capital raise and it failed would they not have to disclose this? Or only partially successful. I think DM got hammered by the investors so he decided to pull the raise. Maybe also the raise attracted interest they did not want? From parties they did not want on the register? Thus pulling the plug on the raise? I am pretty sure they could have raised the money without any issues. It was a strange time to raise though......just before Christmas. It's not even as if they needed the cash right away. No offers to the existing shareholders either. I think after the AGM, DM stated he did not have his cap on for a capital raise. When the Infineon offer came through he felt bad because he had said there was no raise anytime soon. So he thought he was doing the right thing by not knocking on existing shareholders doors......no more than two weeks after he had said no raise anytime soon. The S holders were up in arms. His email inbox alarm was waking him all the way through the night with P)(*ed off Shareholders emailing him. He pulled the plug.
Anyway some of my thoughts as to why it was pulled.
My other thoughts, I don't want to entertain as that would mean a PL3 again.
