Nah, folks need to spend more time learning markets than stocks.
IMU goes on an incredible run to a ridiculously high MC, makes the ASX200 and is invaded by shorts and profit taking and the SP slumps to where it is. NEU, one of the best managed BIO’s around, takes off rewarding holders with a magnificent run, also makes the ASX200 and guess what? The shorts continue to grow and the SP plummets. CU6, last years ASX darling prints the most spectacular run and recently makes the ASX200. Since, the SP has more than halved and as expected the short position grows and grows.
All (apparently) have strengthened their fundamentals. (I’d argue against that in IMU’s case)
Folks need to spend more time studying how markets move compared to individual stocks. Markets move stocks, stocks don’t move markets. Individual fundamentals are fast becoming chundamentals.
