Knowledge doesn't necessarily equal profit. If a transaction was as good as done, it would be reasonable to expect it to be at a higher price than what it is currently trading at. If someone know a transaction was coming, why would there not be significant volume buying shares today. I am actually suprised there hasn't been any reasonable volume today and the very obvious punt that there will be a transaction valuing the company at a higher price than it is today.
