As i understand it, the Namibian Gov have a copy of 3D and reserve the right to relinquish at least a portion of lease if terms are not met by Jan 26 which is dangerous territory for even woodside.
Should woodside forfeit, we have every chance of getting our drill with another operator (based on multiple offers made on galps 40%) and have 8 months to do it.
A major with a rig in the region in particular, could do it quite easilly.
played out a scenario in my head today
if our Geo's see huge potential, so does woodside with teams of analysts. Maybe the plan is to introduce another major, and hit us with a T/O offer before May 16th.
If estimates are in the 10's of billions, i.e a 10 cent low ball might just attract a transaction with PCL after starving us out, which seems to be working.
Honestly, what can Pancon do but wait like us? They are at the mercy of the terms of option entered prior to Iians arrival and we dont have a copy to scrutinize without prejudice.
Based on the time left on license, farmin ann or T/O must be close and long lead items already in play.
