I have an update from the Ground Zero (from my friend at Pemba) that all opposition parties have suspended all strikes for 90 days with "Former presidential candidate Venâncio Mondlane on Friday demanded 25 measures from the country’s authorities over the next three months, threatening to call for a resumption of demonstrations and street protests by his supporters “more intensely” if this does not happen (https://clubofmozambique.com/news/mozambique-mondlane-to-call-more-protests-if-proposed-measures-not-implemented-274140/)." At least we'll see 3 month of calm in Mozambique with all transportation strike to resume ASAP. The new president made commitment with SA president that he will start dialogue with every one and appointed prime minister including 12 ministers including Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy.

Balama area has returned to normalcy with Pemba port authority to resume its operation ASAP. Syrah Balama plant has seen increased traffic flow, however it will be interesting to see if Syrah management make any announcement about mining to resume. I believe SYR still has a decent stockpile at Pemba.
