    I had a hobby farm in a dry and windy area near Geelong and decided to concentrate mostly on drought tolerant crops such as carobs, pistachio nuts, quandongs and date palms.

    I did have the usual stone fruits etc in the mini-orchard.

    My best peach--Newhaven. Its seen a lot in Supermarkets nowadays as it keeps for a long time after harvest.

    Carobs-- immature that turn brown when ripe.
