Ill need to check this but suspect that the ones which do breakout of the channel into that extended wave 3 are more often the same ones which also have that long term higher low..this higher low being a very clear long term wave 2 bottom increases the chance of snagging that 3rd of the 3rd ...I have noticed this and prefer to see that HL in the set up..
