"DC: We're in the process of talking to interested Asian parties.

Journo: Is that for offtake/equity deals or is an acquisition of the company also being discussed?

DC: No acquisition talks at the moment. We are just talking to them about equity and offtake deals."

Then media gets hold dices, spins, chops it up to suit their agenda. Make the headline.

Quite possible it wasn't intentional, just slipped out in the normal course of conversation. Sorry to be the downer, I know how these guys tend to operate. I reckon it's quite possible Bloomberg called the company after the release of the announcement yesterday. I certainly hope there's more to it than that, but I'm reading it a little differently to most on this thread.
