Yes, unfortunately we’re at the mercy of Fortis, who 100% own and run the project, and their eventual customers. It’s a bit baffling how at this stage there are multiple sites and applications open. Blending and e-fuels were mentioned, the latter suggesting it’s for a customer of Fortis.
Until they nail this down, there can’t be a finalised plant design, therefore no final permitting application to BC regulators. Permitting was expected to take several months before FID.
Possibly, Hazer’s detailed analysis and graphite results are needed before Fortis leaps either way and submits the application. Maybe both will come before the options time out.
I noted Tim Forbes said Hazer will keep the information level to shareholders as-is, so I no longer expect any detailed performance numbers, graphite purities etc. It’s disappointing and means we still just have to take their word for everything.
