AVL have definitely spoken about solar and batteries before.
There’s no grid power available at site, hence the need for gas for the higher power parts of processing. I imagine in time as technology improves AVL will be able to do away with gas and diesel.
I imagine AVL/VSUN have spoken to many miners in WA about VFBs. IGO (WA based Nickel miner) have purchased a VSUN battery which is currently undergoing factory acceptance testing
