Ordinarily I would agree with
@mrdingo “it’s only a poster presentation”, however this one is for CHECKvacc and The City of Hope was the sponsor, so we haven’t seen any of the data for it other than for the lady who went off treatment after one small dose, was given another drug that should have been ineffective as she had TNBC rather than HER2+ BC and had a complete response lasting 10 months. It won’t count in the results but it was written up and released as a case study.
We should get to see some new results, specifically for TNBC treated with CHECKvacc but also more generally how CF33 goes with the antiPD-L1 attached.
Given TNBC is a significant unmet need without an effective first line treatment, the multi billion dollar will be, if the results are good, what then as CHECKvacc is not prioritised in the pipeline but could attract all the FDA designations if CHECKvacc shows promise of becoming the standard first line treatment.
The abstract won’t be released until the start of the conference and whilst I am very interested to see the results, we must remember we’re yet to see anything of significance released at a conference that wasn’t previously disclosed to the market via the ASX so it would pay not to turn this into another false expectation! However, part of me wonders if this will be the moment LC referred to a couple of years ago when she said she didn’t want to steal Yuman’s thunder to announce to the world what he had achieved?
