    correct me if i am wrong, but...

    PIE can't say they hold patents in this technology, they are just repackaging it and introducing it to Australia

    - so even if Telstra give PIE a few spots around the country to instal these things permanently, Telstra can just as easily join with any number of those companies mentioned in several of thecroc101's posts - that is, PIE's overseas competitors could very well do it better and cheaper...

    otherwise I don't see these things being placed on suburban street corners, just places where security is high at most times of the day

    but of course, correct me if I am wrong...
