Von You need to differentiate between experience in conventional CIL circuitry and gravity gold production with small scale plants.
I would never recommend processing Ironbark with a gravity plant like Vertex even with a high gravity gold content. Sure be nice to just raid the gravity gold with a 150 tph gravity plant but that would never happen -it is a CIL proposition.
As for Mark Caruso there is a huge difference in moving dirt or being involved in the operation of a conventional CIL plant than having the nouse to mine and recover gold with just gravity separation. I can tell you with certainty that gravity gold content in ores and its recovery characteristics is always an afterthought with geologists -engineers and the CEO's of most companies. We cleaned up many mill sites and recovered many thousands of oz and no matter the metallurgist -the geologist -the CEO or the Chairman they asked and still ask where you get all the gold - they have tunnel vision -they dont have a clue.
I am going through that at the moment with a highly successful company Pan African Resources in South Africa -the Tennants Creek story unfolding - they are experts in so many ways -touting 50,000 oz a year with Mintails. But on the same old mill sites that produced millions of ozs of gold - ten times our mill sites I can get 50,000 -100,000 oz from each mill site to which South African operators are oblivious. Yet go on any Rand mill mill site and at least 50 artisanals will be getting their few grams a day - they are not there for the good of their health . I put a pan in anywhere on those sites and I get a tail of gold.
I will bet neither Caruso or one of his operators has ever put a pan into the big stockpiles they propose to process.
If I was EMC I wouldnt be trying to recover the gold at Revere the way they are proceeding.Its nonsense - I see it all the time - US companies move into Africa -do exactly what EMC are doing -lose heaps and walk away.
We would get 4 kgs an hour over our primary jigs and we dont use Falcons or Knelson concentrators. That's mill sites - but the same principles apply across the board.
