I think they believe that if they create a great company then the share price will take care of itself. If management relied on the share price as a guage of how good a job they are doing then I would sell my right shares now because they are allowing themselves to be distracted by the "noise" in the sharemarket.
I took up my full $30K of shares at a price a bit higher than the market. Some might consider that foolish but it went to the company and that meant more to me than a few cents discount. I would have bought more if it wasn't capped at $30K. Now those shares I bought are down 20%. Thats ok. If the manic depressive market has decided that today thats what they are worth then I'm not selling, nor am I selling at $10, and not at $15 either. Actually thats a lie I might sell some at $15 : - )
If you believe this is a great company then ignore the SP. Following the daily changes in the SP is fine. Allowing those changes to affect your mood is psychologically stressful and not fine.
