Is lithium the only resource we can mine with Mergco? If we have other commodities available, wouldn't it be advantageous to begin mining say, graphite, gold or any other commodity in our portfolio? Why must we burn cash when it can be utilized elsewhere, like setting up refining plants for graphite, if the spot prices are better?

I know Lithium is the flavour of the decade but hitching our star to the Chinese market is just plain stupid, we need to diversify with the funds we have rather than burn them up chasing a spot price out of our AISC reach!

Just a thought. For those who think Care and Maintainance is another option, it's not. How many shareholders do you think will hand around for 5 to 10 years for spodumine prices to recover, IF they ever do. This lowering of price is not a decrease. Lithium reached stellar levels in 2020 because of Covid, and while covid was in force there was a shortage of lithium. well we don't have this problem now, we have an abundance of lithium. We really should begin a program to diversify Mergco's portfolio and look for new commodities to take up the slack.
