Really, then all Europeans had better beware, because if the Chinese take revenge on us for what they perceive as colonisation then we may well be exterminated.

I thought we were supposed to be entering a new era of worldwide friendship and co-operation rather than the same old story of revenge seeking. At least that is what the Chinese tried to make us believe when they opened up (or was that just a cynical change to fool westerners and gain their technology?

And why kill and colonise the poor Tibetans? What have they ever done anything to anybody? And the Mongols of 1200 AD are not really the same as today's Mongols, so why punish them? Hundreds of years of hatred and resentment stored up by a massive country accessing the latest war technology is a very dangerous thing for all humanity.
