“TGA Provisional Approval DeterminationDuring the December quarter, Paradigm was informed by the Therapeutic GoodsAdministration (TGA) of its determination regarding the clinical development of PPS forknee osteoarthritis. The TGA acknowledged that preliminary clinical results for PPSdemonstrated clinically meaningful benefits for patients suffering from moderate to severeOA of the knee. The TGA noted that such benefits are not considered significant for patientswith minor or mild OA, as these conditions are not deemed seriously debilitating.Following a review of the available clinical data, the TGA concluded that PPS is suitable toenter the therapeutic landscape through the traditional registration pathway (CTX), ratherthan a provisional determination application.
