I already pay a substantial tax for carbon based fuels I use for transport. You do the same as do virtually all road users. We need to be extending carbon taxes to cover electricity generation as well. Once we do this we will have an incentive to move away from filthy carbon pollution. I am more than happy to pay for the atmospheric pollution I cause, provided at least a proportion of the tax funds are directed towards sensible, proven, safe, base load power generation.
