    There is a tipping point for taxation on items like booze and ciggys and it’s rapidly approaching is what I’m saying.

    The idea that these taxes are fixed to rise twice a year for ever can be changed and at some point in the future, one of our political options will make it an election issue.

    Cost of living issues and the destruction of small businesses like restaurants, clubs and pubs are intertwined with these tax issues, is my point as well.

    So you agree that the government claim that it is only raising taxes on these products for health reasons is bogus?
    I can agree with that
