Fundamnetally the business is still the same although there are productions/operations issues. I have expressed my doubts on the merits of consolidation and pruning of untradeable parcels, which made me sell my part (all parcels) of this business and use the proceeds (capital and gains) to another appreciating assets.
SBM is a high cost producer and using hedging to manage risks. Management at this stage is running a popularity contest which backfired at them (as a lot of small parcel shareholders are affected).
I would look to enter (light) somewhere in the range of 1.62-1.65 with consideration to where price of gold is.
