The BFG10K account is obviously not trying to post in good faith. That account turned up and immediately started posting absolute nonsense which made no sense, obviously it posts absurd word salad about the company, but also claiming to have just started looking at the company yet demonstrated clear knowledge of the long term dynamics of individuals posting on the AGY threads, and the fact that it claims to have a large portfolio, doesn't hold AGY and would never hold more than a tiny amount of AGY relative to the rest of the portfolio, but never had a Hot Copper account before, never posts on any other company, and relentlessly ramps (albeit absurdly).

Clearly the account is designed to cause confusion and muddy the situation, just dragging the whole conversation into a squabbling, nonsensical mess, because when the company situation is so terrible, a calm, rational discussion and analysis makes it look bad, and a chaotic mess, complete with plenty of arguments and squabbling, is preferable.

Even the account name, BFG10K is a reference to a fictional weapon which just causes broad spectrum massive damage and wrecks everything, which the people who made it probably found quite funny (and it does fit pretty well).

Comically, most of the bulls genuinely holding and posting in good faith, will often attack the bears on the basis of 'why do you waste so much time discussing this company?' (as though a few minutes now and again is a huge amount of time while you're already on the computer looking at stocks etc and this is an interesting case study etc), but the same standard is never accused to the old BigF***ingGun10K who clearly spends much more time, doesn't hold (or at least that's the story) and doesn't even try to make sense, in fact, clearly deliberately puts effort into not making sense. I suppose though, the objective is to bait the bears into picking on its absurd mistakes and focussing on the personal attacks rather than discussing company analysis, and it has had considerable success.
